Show your intersex pride and inclusivity with the Intersex Progress Pride Flag! The intersex flag is a yellow base with a purple ring in the middle. It was incorporated into a redesign of the Progress Pride flag to recognize and accommodate intersex people in the parades and demonstrations. Motivated by the BLM movement, the Progress Pride flag was created in 2020 to explicitly include queer people of color and trans people. In 2021, this newer version of the Pride flag was created to include intersex people as well.
It is made of durable polyester and measures 90 x 150 cm. A flag is a great way to show what you stand for!
The original intersex flag consists of a yellow base with a purple ring in the middle. The colors purple and yellow were deliberately used in the design as a counterpoint to the more traditionally gender-specific colors blue and pink. The designer, Australian Morgan Carpenter, says the ring is a symbol of wholeness and integrity. It aims to offer a meaningful alternative to the way intersex people have been portrayed and treated by the medical establishment and society in general.
